PLAY PLAY

Designers Who Talk Too Much is Sophie Whitehead’s creative movement built around a simple idea: creatives should talk more.

What started as Sophie’s way of bringing people together has grown into a community for designers, artists, makers and curious creative minds. In February, she hosted an Open Studio in Sydney, connecting 60+ creatives over drinks, exhibitioned artworks, conversation and creative exchange. Now, she’s taking it offline again with a still life drawing evening, bringing people together to make, chat and probably talk too much.

DWTTM is about getting out from behind the screen, meeting good people and making space for creativity beyond the 9-5.

Floor Stories

Look down. The floor is a canvas of still life narratives waiting to be discovered.

A prawn carcas next to still-lit cigarette.  An abandoned nipple cover.  Twenty ants getting high on a melted slurpy.

Sometimes, the best art is waiting right under your shoe.

What started as Sharpie’s activity in mindfulness blossomed into a project worth sharing. Because humans are weird. And its about time we looked where we stepped.
